Kenya.<\/p>\n<p>Central Italy?<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"http:\/\/farm4.staticflickr.com\/3357\/4636899105_2ec7b5e763_z.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Of all the places around the world I&#8217;ve been lucky enough to bird, none combines so many different and so many wonderful activities as Tuscany, that gentle landscape of hills and sea in the center of the Italian peninsula.<\/p>\n<p>Food? Outstanding. Wine? Excellent. Architecture? Stunning.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"http:\/\/farm5.staticflickr.com\/4057\/4637500028_aec72fc56f_z.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" \/><\/p>\n<p>And oh yes, there are birds.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"http:\/\/farm9.staticflickr.com\/8391\/8509319697_e25fd539f9_z.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"490\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Lots and lots of birds, including colorful <strong>European Bee-eaters<\/strong> and <strong>Hoopoes<\/strong>, <strong>Rollers<\/strong> and <strong>Woodchat Shrikes<\/strong>, <strong>Black-winged Stilts<\/strong> and implausibly shaped, impossibly colored <strong>Greater Flamingos<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"http:\/\/farm5.staticflickr.com\/4059\/4663376626_5fcbd359e4_z.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" \/><\/p>\n<p>We experience all this and more from just two hotels, one nestled between the Apuan Alps and the Apennines in the lovely Garfagnana Valley:<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"http:\/\/farm4.staticflickr.com\/3406\/4639955176_b72e27586a_z.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" \/><\/p>\n<p>and the other tucked into the hills above the Mediterranean and beneath the medieval city of Manciano.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"http:\/\/farm4.staticflickr.com\/3337\/3625761556_d9e32de234_z.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" \/><\/p>\n<p>What could be more perfect?
