The view down was dizzying,<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/birdaz.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2007\/12\/atta-canopy-tower-view-down-guyana-2007-299.bmp\" \/><\/p>\n<p>but the whole structure is supported by some tremendous rainforest giants. The duct tape inspired confidence, too.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/birdaz.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2007\/12\/atta-canopy-tower-duck-tape-guyana-2007-268.bmp\" \/><\/p>\n<p>But we weren&#8217;t there to be looking down or looking up, and the view out was as birdy was it was beautiful. <strong>Black-necked Aracaris <\/strong>fed from the tops of the trees.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/birdaz.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2007\/12\/aracaris-at-canopy-tower-guyana-2007-276.bmp\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Hummingbirds were not abundant, but they did include a couple of <strong>Black-eared Fairies<\/strong>, elegant monochrome hummingbirds stretched at both ends.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/birdaz.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2007\/12\/black-eared-fairy-better-guyana-2007-281.bmp\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Hoping for the arrival of a very special target bird, we lingered until after sunset.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/birdaz.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2007\/12\/atta-canopy-tower-view-guyana-2007-288.bmp\" \/><\/p>\n<p>And just at darkfall we heard the strange, sad whistles of a <strong>White-winged Potoo<\/strong>.
