It quickly became a standard part of the program whenever <a href=\"http:\/\/birdaz.com\/blog\/2016\/06\/17\/happy-birthday-fontenelle-forest\/\">a bird refuge or nature center was dedicated<\/a>, and inspired everything from songs to <a href=\"https:\/\/archive.org\/stream\/jstor-25587837\/25587837#page\/n1\/mode\/2up\">high-design\u00a0bird baths<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The play was premiered in September 1913 at the dedication of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.crjc.org\/heritage\/N09-12.htm\">the Helen Woodruff Smith bird preserve<\/a>\u00a0in Plainfield, New Hampshire. Eleanor and Margaret Wilson&#8217;s father was named Woodrow, and the president and his wife were in the audience that September day in New Hampshire.
