		<description>Hmm. Much as I would love to bird the ancient temples of Provence, I was really intending to comment on a certain Barnacle Goose post, but there's no comment window (like this one I'm typing in) on that post, even when logged in.

In any case, thanks for the shout-out, and I have to admit I was already counting the 2002 Plainsboro Barnacle Goose (possibly the same one as the Hamilton bird) even before the committee accepted it (disclaimer: my lifer was in Finland in 1999). But yep, you're good to go now. :)</description>

		<description>Very interesting post Rick.  I enjoy learning birding history and how the terminology came about.  I, personally, am willing to go back to the "fieldfare" terminology.  I'm sure it would be a much more controversial name these days than it was back then.  Should we start a campaign?</description>
