At It Again

Common Ravens don’t raise many eyebrows anywhere in  New Jersey these days, but those of us who remember hoping past hope for a glimpse of just one still find these enormous croakers exciting.

Especially when, like the pair at Hudson County’s Laurel Hill Park yesterday morning, they’re carrying sticks to a traditional nesting ledge. I don’t think that they bred there successfully last year, but my hopes — and obviously theirs — are high for 2013.
