According to George Bolam‘s Birds of Northumberland, any White Wagtail that wags its tail fewer than nine times on landing will bring bad luck to the observer.
Just one more thing to worry about in this scary world of ours.

Yes, I also heard about this saying. Once when I was purchasing some accessories for my birds from a bird store in USA, a man told me about this. I don’t agree on this but when I heard this from some other people may be I start believing on it.
