This poos Anna’s Hummingbird nearly had to go up in flames this morning–its only source of relief was frozen solid after a night in the low 20s here in the Sonoran desert. But some strong morning sun and the addition of warm ambrosia from the kitchen soon had him in fine fettle, chasing the other Anna’s and Costa’s Hummingbirds away from “his” feeder, then retreating to sing his curious squeaky jumble from the oleanders.
