A Quizzical Face

Our Western Screech-Owl has been making itself scarce lately, no doubt exercising the greater part of valor given the nightly Great Horned Owl concert performed from the garage roof, just a few feet from the little guy’s roost house.

But Sunday morning there was a fluffy face looking out at me from the box, blinking in the morning sun and hoping for morning warmth.
