MEGA: Sinaloa Wren in Arizona

By Rick Wright

At last!! Matt Brown and Robin Baxter discovered a singing Sinaloa Wren today at Arizona’s Patagonia – Sonoita Creek Preserve, something like 19 years after the first, inadequately documented report. If accepted–and it sounds like there is reasonable documentation–this will be a long-expected and welcome first for the ABA Area.

I’ve posted a couple of images of the species here, along with comparative material illustrating Bewick’s and Happy Wrens.
