Reid Park on New Year’s Day was full of birds stretching and scratching, eager to turn over a new feather for a new year.

This drake Redhead was among the most acrobatic, nearly flipping onto his back as he dealt with his thick belly plumage.
And this male Vermilion Flycatcher was among the most beautiful as he stretched and primped atop his fence post.
