MEGA: Pennsylvania Long-billed Murrelet
ByA Long-billed Murrelet, potentially the first for Pennsylvania, was still being seen as of half an hour ago at Lake Nockamixon.
Can’t get there this weekend? Just wait; to judge by the past few years, sooner or later a representative of this species will show up where you are, too.

This is an hour away from me, yet I am here doing work… Oddly enough, this is the second time in 2007 that work has gotten in the way of me seeing this species. The first was the one at Sandy Hook in January.
